Surreal. I read a SF story once set on a world where, and it's sort of hard to describe, the earth's surface was inverted so that what's land here was sea, and what's sea here was land.

So mount everest is the deepest point of the ocean, the pacific is an enormous continent, etc.

I forget the point of the story, but the idea was pretty cool. Places like the everglades, where land and see meet, were the same, but strange places where you could cross between worlds.
